Latin for “invincible

Invicta was founded in 1837 in La Chaux-de-fonds, Switzerland by Raphael Picard, who had the radical notion that fine Swiss timepieces could be offered at modest prices. For more than a century, the assiduous little company created manual and automatic winding timepieces of exceptional design and construction. Like many Swiss names of its day, the brand all but disappeared during the quartz invasion of the early ‘70s. In 1991, descendants of the Invicta family re-established the brand holding firm to the company’s founding principle. Privately owned and operated, Invicta has been better able to ensure the absolute highest standard in each watch produced. Active throughout every step of production, this hands-on approach is a predominately intrinsic aspect of the impressive current success of the brand. With consistent enduring strides in invention, craftsmanship, and inspiration, the Invicta Watch Group has evolved into the fastest growing watch company in the business and has sparked a movement that is turning the balance of power in the watch industry.

ABOUT SKAGEN DESIGN

ABOUT SKAGEN DESIGN
In 1989, Henrik and Charlotte Jorst came to the United States from their native Denmark to follow a dream: that of owning and running their own business, to introduce the Danish lifestyle and philosophy into the lives of many. Skagen Designs was founded by these two natives of Copenhagen on the principle that beautifully designed high-quality objects can be created at reasonable prices.

The Skagen Denmark Collections reflect owners Charlotte and Henrik Jorst's creative Danish spirit with clean, elegant designs, skillful craftsmanship and technical perfection. The Jorsts have a hand in designing each piece of the Skagen Collection, from watches to jewelry to sunglasses.

Vision Statement
By 2015, Skagen Designs will be the first choice among suppliers, customers, consumers, and employees as the most innovative and profitable design goods company within our chosen strategic segments, products and markets.

Mission Statement
Skagen Designs strives to create a global community of enthusiasts with our commitment to designing an impressive and unique yet attainable product while offering outstanding customer service to our customers and consumers.

About Skagen Denmark
For centuries, the little village of Skagen, Denmark, and its kilometers of white sandy beaches have been visited by artists seeking the magnificent light; artists who by the 19th Century had spread Skagen's beauty on canvasses that today are traded at leading auction houses. It is here where the natural purity and beauty of Danish design found its unique qualities. The small village on the edge of the sea continues to be the inspiration for all Skagen Denmark products.

About Charlotte Jorst, co-owner
As a wife and mother of two (teenage) daughters, Charlotte perfectly balances her family life with her success. And, as a champion equestrian, she manages to pursue and excel at one of her greatest passions. Today, we so often hear of women "doing it all" and Charlotte Jorst is indeed one of these women.

"I don't believe in big breaks," Charlotte explains. "I get up everyday and try to do my best. It is hard work, yes, but it's what makes 99.9% of people successful and, at the end of the day, is ultimately the most rewarding kind of success there is."

Charlotte's Danish roots instilled her with a love of nature that seamlessly links all aspects of her life together. Outside of the office, Charlotte embraces her love of everything outdoors, including regular competition at the highest levels (short of the Olympic team) of horse dressage, in addition to owning and running Skagen Stables, a small horse farm located in Reno.

Charlotte's motto for living life perfectly sums up her ability to do so much: "There is no reason not to try everything that interests you. Be patient, start at the beginning, remain positive and solve problems as they come."

About Henrik Jorst, co-owner
"While overseeing the design of all of our Skagen products, I find inspiration from many different arenas, continually pushing the brand to the next level, keeping our image current and yet maintaining our true identity."

A highly competitive tennis player, Henrik now acts as a member of the The International Tennis Club of Denmark and continues to represent Denmark in international matches.

Off the court and on the greens, Henrik also pursues his passion for golf. In addition, Henrik is an avid collector of classic cars. With 21 cars currently in his collection, including rare Jaguars, a Porsche, a Ferrari "Dino" and two Cadillacs, Henrik's fascination with mechanics, from timepieces to cars, is apparent.

Henrik's ability to excel when faced with challenge, whether in his professional or personal life, is grounded in his distinctly Danish philosophy: "Keep it simple. Seek out what you love and doggedly pursue your passions."

International Business
Skagen Designs has offices in the US, Denmark and Hong Kong. Skagen's business is expanding exponentially in Europe and even more so throughout the Asia Pacific region. Skagen operates two flagship stores in Denmark, one in the inspirational starting point of Skagen, Denmark and the other in the bustling, modern downtown Copenhagen. Additionally, independent Skagen concept stores are located in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya, Japan and Taipei, Taiwan with new openings in Korea planned for later this year. The Skagen Denmark product proves to be a top-seller in many markets from Singapore, Malaysia and Australia, and more store openings are planned in the next few years.

Bush's watch appears on the Internet auction

The proposed sale is a clock without a photo. But the clock "Taymeks, same as Bush, sold on eBay with the advertising message as stolen in Albania. Get your copy of this piece of history. "Clock to which the seller claims to have stolen from U.S. President George Bush, appear in ads for sales on eBay.com. (see here)
It offers for sale by an anonymous nickname Miklove71, which has declared its position in Australia Maskot, Sydney, New South Wales.
He has good performance as a seller on eBay, for his feedback is 100% positive.
Clock will photograph the seller says it will put when he arrives with him in Albania.
Therefore, its price is still low - so far no one dares to bid seriously, the price until midnight on Thursday was only 24.37 dollars. Bidding will last until 21 June. (B. River - The latest ad was removed from eBay and can not see over).
Under the ad is marked: "eBay Secret service or pulled my previous call for naumestni links (links). I put a link to the original news story on Bush's watch stolen in Albania. From eBay claiming that this is the reason to remove my ad I think there is any conspiracy (a guy who looks like a lot of Jack Bauer revolves around my house and seems to talk much up his sleeve).
Further, the seller writes:
"Here is the original ad with most of the initial questions at the moment in which it drew. Feel free to rain my questions, unless you lack a sense of humor:

I bought the watch from an Albanian friend. He argues that it took "borrow" from George Bush. I can not prove it is authentic. But definitely a nice watch. The watch is in excellent condition. Will my photograph when arriving from Albania.
Obviously traveling through Kazakhstan. Must hasten to injury - very upset officials of secret services, who do you want bro, already shown interest. Apparently their boss is lost without him.

Under the ad has views of website visitors who ask questions maytapchiyski. Here are some of them:

Anonymous: This clock timex will show you my time in Texas than other states? I do not need a clock that displays time, only Texas.
Anonymous: Is there a button that would put nuclear missiles?
Seller's response: There seems to be, but I'm afraid to hit him.
Anonymous: Are there two switches? I like George a clock with 2 arrows for a bit confusing.
Answer: Yes, there are second hand, however, a little slow.
Anonymous: I give 50 000 for it. Wound up?
Etc.

The site is sold also watch TIMEX, the same mark as Bush's watch, starting price 50 British pounds (about 98 dollars). The seller is from Britain. The ad reads: "As stolen in Albania. Get your copy of this piece of history. "
As the media reported from the White House official said that Bush's watch was stolen, but it was taken off the President and gave the guards. But many observers believe that these messages conceal the truth.

Eggplant

Eggplant is a cold-sensitive vegetable that requires a long warm season for best yields. The culture of eggplant is similar to that of bell pepper, with transplants being set in the garden after all danger of frost is past. Eggplants are slightly larger plants than peppers and are spaced slightly farther apart. Eggplant requires careful attention for a good harvest. Small-fruited, exotic-colored and ornamental varieties can be grown in containers and used for decorations.

Recommended Varieties
Large Oval Fruit

Dusky (60 days to harvest, good size, early production)

Epic (64 days, tear-drop shaped)

Black Bell (68 days, round to oval, productive)

Black Magic (72 days)

Classic (76 days, elongated oval, high quality)

Black Beauty (OP-80 days)

Burpee Hybrid (80 days)

Ghostbuster (80 days; white, slightly sweeter than purple types; 6 to 7 inch oval).

Elongated Fruit

Ichiban (70 days)

Slim Jim (OP-70 days; lavender, turning purple when peanut-sized; good in pots)

Little Fingers (OP-68 days; 6 to 8 inch, long, slim fruit in clusters).

Ornamental Fruit

Easter Egg (52 days; small white, egg-sized, shaped, turning yellow at maturity; edible ornamental)

When to Plant
Eggplant is best started from transplants. Select plants in cell packs or individual containers. It is important to get the plants off to a proper start. Do not plant too early. Transplant after the soil has warmed and the danger of frost has passed. Eggplants are more susceptible than tomato plants to injury from low temperatures and do not grow until temperatures warm.

Spacing & Depth
Space plants 18 to 24 inches apart in the row, or even closer for small fruited types. Three to six plants are usually sufficient for most families unless eggplant is a favorite vegetable, eaten often. Allow 30 to 36 inches between rows or space plants 24 inches apart in all directions in raised beds.

Care
Use starter fertilizer for transplanting. Side-dress nitrogen fertilizer when the plants are half grown and again immediately after harvest of the first fruits. Given sufficient moisture and fertility, eggplant thrives in the heat of summer. The plants tolerate dry weather after they are well established but should be irrigated during extended dry periods for continued peak production.

Harvesting
Harvest the fruits when they are 6 to 8 inches long and still glossy. Use a knife or pruning shears rather than breaking or twisting the stems. Many eggplant varieties have small prickly thorns on the stem and calyx, so exercise caution or wear gloves when harvesting. Leave the large (usually green) calyx attached to the fruit.

When the fruits become dull or brown, they are too mature for culinary use and should be cut off and discarded. Overmature fruits are spongy and seedy and may be bitter. Even properly harvested fruits do not store well and should be eaten soon after they are harvested. Large, vigorous plants can yield as many as four to six fruits at the peak of the season.

Common Problems
Verticillium wilt causes yellowing, wilting and death of the plants.

Flea beetles cause tiny holes in the leaves. Damage can be severe, especially on young plants, if unchecked. These beetles can be controlled by applying an insecticide.

Questions & Answers
Q. I planted my eggplants early, but they did not grow very well.

A. They probably were planted while the soil was too cold. It is better to hold the plants (but keep them growing) until the soil warms. If necessary, repot into larger containers to maintain vigor. Mulching with black plastic film can help warm the soil,, especially in northern areas. Floating row covers can help with cool, early seasons as well as bar harmful insects from succulent young plants.

Selection & Storage
Harvest eggplants when they are young. Size is not always an indication of maturity. To test, hold the eggplant in your palm and gently press it with your thumb. If the flesh presses in but bounces back, it is ready for harvesting. If the flesh is hard and does not give, the eggplant is immature and too young to harvest. If the thumb indentation remains, the eggplant to over mature and may be completely brown inside and bitter with large tough seeds.

There is long-standing controversy about male and female eggplants, which is an inaccurate approach considering the fact that fruits are the product of sex and do not have it. However, it is folk wisdom worth some attention. Eggplants have a dimple at the blossom end. The dimple can be very round or oval in shape. The round ones seem to have more seeds and tend to be less meaty, so select the oval dimpled eggplant.

Eggplants bruise easily so harvest gently. Always cut the eggplant with the cap and some of the stem attached. Eggplants do not like cool temperatures so they do not store well. Harvest and use them immediately for best flavor. If you must store them, wrap them in plastic or use plastics and store for 1 to 2 days in the refrigerator. Be careful as it will soon develop soft brown spots and become bitter. Use them while the stem and cap are still greenish and rather fresh-looking.

Longing for the depths

Longing for the depths

Each of these watches became increasingly more alluring and outrageous sports design and the reasons are both amateurs and experts among divers. Will tell you about watches that are excellence of clock and watch art, and their technology is so sophisticated that they can reach depths fantastic. Companies simply demonstrate their abilities.

Among the criteria that a clock must meet to be called "diving watch are those for resistance to shock waves and magnetic and dial must be sufficiently bright. The ring around the dial must be able to turn to more easily measured over time. Strap and lens must be sufficiently strong, a mechanism must function perfectly at depths exceeding 100 m.

Clocks with ease enter into this category are Rolex (Oyster 1926; Submariner 1953; Sea-Dweller 1971), Panerai (Luminor 1950), Blancpain (Fifty Fathoms 1953), Breitling (Superocean 1957), Jaeger-LeCoultre (Memovox Deep Sea 1959; Polaris 1963), Girard-Perregaux (Sea Hawk Deep Diver 1965), IWC (Aquatimer 1967), Omega (PloProf 1971) and Tag Heuer (Aquaracer, 1985).

Watch for big brands only way "up" that remains "down" when seeking to remain in orbit close to Earth. Last year, Rolex presented Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller Deepsea allowing diving to a depth of 3900 m. The other achievements are impressive, but remain far behind, such as Omega Ploprof, which is resistant to 1200 meters is hardly necessary to say, that such clock must have a release valve for helium. The reason for this is that helium molecules are among the smallest in nature, and work on greater depth in air is helium. Unpleasant consequence is that decompression can damage the clock.

A recent innovation is a device for measuring the depth of the company developed Favre-Leuba. Jaeger-LeCoultre made another instrument with the same function, working up to 80 m depth and used in Aquatimer Deep Two ... In the hands of masters clockworks is not only style but also your safety.

Albert Einstein's watch for 596 000 dollars

Albert Einstein's watch for 596 000 dollars

Nowadays to be rich, you should be smart. This is one of the simplest laws of jungle life. However, before geniuses do not always have the chance to be millionaires. Just such is the case of Albert Einstein, who could only afford to watch brand Longines. Today, this watch is worth more than many others, precisely because they stood on the hand of Albert Einstein.

Watch from an auction in 1931 with the original inscription "Prof. Albert Einstein" and the date it was purchased - February 16, 1931 - broke all records for a watch with this brand. It sold for a breathtaking 596 000 dollars. The buyer has remained anonymous, but this is the most expensive watch brand Longines sold than ever and nearly 20 times the original price paid Einstein.

Development of the Timepiece Business
With the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.

In developing its own wristwatches Casio began with the basic question, "What is a wristwatch?" Rather than simply making a digital version of the conventional mechanical watch, we thought that the ideal wristwatch should be something that shows all facets of time in a consistent way. Based on this, Casio was able to create a watch that displayed the precise time including the second, minute, hour, day, and month — not to mention a.m. or p.m., and the day of the week. It was the first watch in the world with a digital automatic calendar function that eliminated the need to reset the calendar due the variation in month length. Rather than using a conventional watch face and hands, a digital liquid crystal display was adopted to better show all the information. This culminated in the 1974 launch of the CASIOTRON, the world’s first digital watch with automatic calendar. The CASIOTRON won acclaim as a groundbreaking product that represented a complete departure from the conventional wristwatch.

Casio transformed the concept of the watch — from a mere timepiece to an information device for the wrist — and undertook product planning based on this innovative idea. We developed not only time functions such as global time zone watches, but also other radical new functions using Casio’s own digital technology, including calculator and dictionary functions, as well as a phonebook feature based on memory technology, and even a thermometer function using a built-in sensor. The memory-function watches became our DATA BANK product series, while the sensor watches developed into two unique Casio product lines of today: the Pathfinder series displaying altitude, atmospheric pressure, and compass readings.

In 1983, Casio launched the shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch. This product shattered the notion that a watch is a fragile piece of jewelry that needs to be handled with care, and was the result of Casio engineers taking on the challenge of creating the world’s toughest watch. Using a triple-protection design for the parts, module, and case, the G-SHOCK offered a radical new type of watch that was unaffected by strong impacts or shaking. Its practicality was immediately recognized, and its unique look, which embodied its functionality, became wildly popular, resulting in explosive sales in the early 1990s. The G-SHOCK soon adopted various new sensors, solar-powered radio-controlled technology (described below), and new materials for even better durability. By always employing the latest technology, and continuing to transcend conventional thinking about the watch, the G-SHOCK brand has become Casio’s flagship timepiece product.

Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, and the radio-controlled function means users never have to reset the time. In particular, the radio-controlled function represents a revolution in time-keeping technology similar to the impact created when mechanical watches gave way to quartz technology. Through the further development of high radio-wave sensitivity, miniaturization, and improved energy efficiency, Casio continues to produce a whole range of radio-controlled models.

The Citizen Watch Brand

The company was established in 1924. The founding fathers selected the name Citizen so it would be "Close to the Hearts of People Everywhere" and soon after adopted the company’s formal name, Citizen Watch Company.

During the last seventy-five years Citizen has expanded its business throughout the world and has achieved recognition as the global brand. The past twenty-five year period has coincided with the company’s dramatic rise to its current position as the world’s largest watchmaker, a distinction Citizen has held every year since 1986.

Beyond sheer size, Citizen is also recognized as a worldwide leader in advanced technology. From the world’s slimmest LCD watch to the first voice recognition watch and the world’s first professional dive watch with an electronic depth sensor, Citizen’s record of "world’s firsts" is unmatched.

More recently, Citizen has staked out a new position as the leader in Ecologically Friendly timekeeping with its Eco-Drives watches that are light powered. With models ranging from dress models to sports models to professional dive watches, Citizen Eco-Drive runs continuously in any kind of natural or artificial light for a lifetime of use. Fueled by light, it never needs a battery.

Eco-Drive Frequently Asked Questions (See the full Citizen Eco-Drive FAQ here)

How can you tell if the Eco-Drive watch is getting enough light?
In normal use, the watch displays the time and the sweep-second hand moves in one second intervals. A very important feature of Eco-Drive is the Low Charge Warning Mode which as a result of low battery voltage, causes the second hand to jump two seconds at a time (while still keeping correct time).

How long will an Eco-Drive watch run after it is fully charged?
If your watch is put away where no light is available to it while in a fully charged state, depending on the model, it will run for from 45 days to 5 years.

How can the Eco-Drive watch be recharged?
Besides sunlight, it can be safely charged by exposing it to a fluorescent desk lamp, with the dial (face) up and within about 8 inches or an incandescent lamp (regular light bulb) no closer than 20 inches. Never use a halogen lamp since the heat generated by it can cause damage to your watch. The most efficient and the quickest is in direct bright sunlight (not windowsill) and never on the dashboard of a car.

The Tommy Hilfiger Brand

The History of Tommy Hilfiger In 1969, Tommy Hilfiger began his retail career while still in high school with $125 and 20 pairs of bell-bottom jeans. This entrepreneurial spirit mixed with raw talent led him to establish a small chain of retail stores, where he designed the clothes people wanted but could never find. In 1985, Hilfiger introduced his signature collection of menswear.

Since its inception, the Tommy Hilfiger brand has been built on a powerful design philosophy: Adding fresh, new perspective to traditional, all-American stylings. This approach proved so compelling, that in less than two decades, the Company grew from a single line into a global business encompassing a wide range of products. From menswear and womenswear to licensing agreements in accessories, footwear, fragrance and more, Tommy Hilfiger has become a fashion icon.

Tommy Hilfiger Watches – Classic, American, Cool It was only a matter of time before Tommy Hilfiger took on the world of watches. Inspired by his father who worked 42 years as a watchmaker in the jewelry business, Tommy Hilfiger was driven to design his own watch collection. Putting his extraordinary talents and infallible fashion instincts to the test, Tommy Hilfiger stepped into the role of watch designer. His goal was to offer the precise, reliable performance of a quality timepiece as well as the classic American style for which his sportswear was so well known. Hilfiger set out to create fashion watches of unmistakable style and exceptional value, and that’s exactly what he did.

In 1999, Tommy Hilfiger entered into an exclusive, ongoing licensing agreement with Movado Group, Inc. for the well known watch company to design, manufacture and distribute Tommy Hilfiger Watches worldwide. Meticulously designed to complement the Tommy Hilfiger lifestyle and brand aesthetic, the launch collection combined a cool, classic sophistication with quality craftsmanship.

Today's Tommy Hilfiger watches remain true to the brand's original design concept. Sporting a traditional American style with a modern twist, the latest Tommy Hilfiger watch collection ranges from stainless steel chronographs and multi-eye models, to chic designs with genuine diamonds, reversible bands, iconic Tommy Hilfiger detailing like plaid etching, and signature Tommy Hilfiger fabrics and colors.

General Information and Care Tommy Hilfiger watches have been developed with meticulous attention to quality, function and detail.

Battery Information A Tommy Hilfiger quartz analog watch has a 1.55-Volt silver-oxide battery. It is specially designed for watches and will last approximately 18-36 months under normal use.

NOTE: Frequent use of special functions, like the stopwatch timer on chronograph models, may shorten battery life.

Water Resistance All Tommy Hilfiger watches meet international standards for water resistance to 3 ATM, so faucet spray or rain won’t damage them as long as the case, crown and crystal remain intact.

DO NOT press the push-buttons on a chronograph model when the watch is under water, or it will not remain water resistant.

NOTE: We recommend that you do not get your leather strap wet. Exposing leather to water can cause premature wear and deterioration.

Tommy Hilfiger Watches Limited Warranty Tommy Hilfiger Watches (THW) warrants to the original consumer that his/her watch will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of ten (10) years in the US and Canada, or two (2) years in Europe, Asia and Latin America, from date of purchase. During this period, the watch movement will be repaired or the watch will be replaced (at the sole discretion of THW) free of charge, if it proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use.

This limited warranty does not cover batteries, straps, gold-plating, scratches or any damage arising from normal wear, accidents or misuse, or from any alteration, service or repair performed by any party other than the Tommy Hilfiger Watch Company or one of its Authorized Service Centers.

Най-древните часовници били два вида / The oldest were two types of clocks

astore.amazon.com/watches_for_you-20Водни часовници

Water Watch

The oldest were two types of clocks. The water clock represented drilled bucket, graduated from the inside. When water flows, its level falls and the time is recorded in scars. These primitive water clocks were first used in Mesopotamia at the beginning of II millennium BC. But unfortunately no way to know when and where. Later water clocks had many cameras and siphons for greater accuracy, because the old model was inaccurate and wrong.

Clock - shadow

The exact timing at the beginning has relied on a clock-shadow and therefore it was possible only when the sun shines. It shines almost all day in Egypt, where they created the first-clock shadow at the beginning or middle of the II millennium BC. Watch survivor from the time of Thutmose III (XVI century BC.) Indicates how the T-shaped vertical column casts placed on a horizontal pole, marked with stripes of different lengths of elapsed times.

Sundial

Greater accuracy and precision are possible with a sundial - another Egyptian invention, several centuries later. The oldest discovered a sundial of ivory disc with a picture of the back. It is the time of Pharaoh Merenptah, XIII century BC.

Clock

Compared with these early distinctive feature of clocks wall clock is the anchor - a device for retaining the mechanical movement in order to determine the speed of movement. Anchor there since the Tang dynasty of Hsin Yee Liang and Lin Dsan and is included in the huge water-driven clock, which they constructed between 723 and 725, the Government of Long An. Worked as an anchor to the brake mechanism, while the water leaking at a controlled speed, full court, in which the mechanism is released and immediately started the process again. Thus the clock "tic-so" several times per minute. Every hour I called bell and fifteen minutes each drum hit. This watch was fitted with the globe that showed the location of stars and indicators of the moving Sun and Moon, showing sunrise and sunset and moon phases.

Dialog

Big clock, built by Su Sung in the capital of Song Dynasty Kayfen (1088 - 1090), had many dials. On the first floor of a three-storey clock tower were a number of windows that appear in the figures, giving information about the date and time. This presentation time perhaps stems from the first clock, finished in 725, does not know whether there was a dialog, or has relied only on bells and drums.

Round dial

Some water clocks constructed in Hellenistic times and used in Mediterranean countries such as Egypt and Greece (probably from the III century BC.) Were fitted with circular washers. Hours were marked with lines emanating radially from the center, but the puck was connected with a float in the chamber with water. To complicate their task, the Greeks and other peoples in the eastern Mediterranean had hours whose length varies with season. The number of hours in daylight was set so that, in the middle of winter, they were much shorter than in the middle of summer. Therefore, second pulley squirm behind the first is to adjust the length of times a change of date.

Quartz clock

Because the electric current causes the crystal to vibrate at a constant frequency of 32.768 Hz, they can be used to make extremely precise anchors. Marisan Alvin Warren, a watchmaker from Orange, New Jersey, USA, and Dzh.U. Horton took advantage of that and in 1928 developed a prototype of a quartz clock. The next year they submitted their invention to the public.Категория: Други

Male strap watch with what to wear what is customary to wear?

Male strap watch with what to wear what is customary to wear? I wonder what should I put the clock when I'm dressed formally and what, when I undress in (say casual). Curious what my clock fits best to the shirt.

Hand clock is considered the basic and most important accessory in men probably due to the fact that representatives of the strong sex do not usually wear much jewelry - limited to a wedding ring and watch.

Hand clock is an important element of the style of the man and his clothing. Quite rightly think of a different kind of clothes to wear different watches. The rule states: the more subtle and elegant watch is the more appropriate it is for formal occasions.

Towards evening the official clothier always wear black shoes and black belt, and accordingly with a black leather watch strap. Clocks with metal chains are suitable for office, the rule here is to combine colored belt buckle with the belt. If your clock has a gold chain, belt buckle should also be in that color. The same goes for the silver version. Sport watches in no case can be combined with formal men's wear. They are for leisure and excellent fit T-shirt or even shorts and sandals.

Another important criterion for selecting a clock the size of the dial to the wrist. Clock with the face normal size is not suitable for a big man - his hand would have stood as a lady. Some admirers of the male accessory that goes even farther - Watch strap and arrows are the same color.

Ultimately, if you are unable to obtain the various clocks according to the different clothing styles, we recommend you opt for a classic watch. He has a white dial with black leather strap. If you have one, you can wear it both in the office and official to suit.

Water-resistant to 100 meters

To start the review, i'd like to point out that this is a very beautiful watch. It's the best looking watch i've ever owned, and I love the way it looks when either i'm wearing it, or when it's on my desk. The dial window on the watch is made of a scratch-resistant mineral and I have not had any scratches on it despite even accidentally bumping it on my truck's tailgate yesterday. This is a very sturdy and durable watch. It's also water resistant to 100 meters and i've gotten it wet on several occasions and it stays true to it's water resistance. It's good for swimming too as it says in the manual. It's also an extremely accurate watch, i've noticed that I feel as if i'm keeping track of time much more accurately now since i've had it, and that's very important to me. Also, it has another dial around the face of the watch with the numbers: 15, 30, 45, and 60, to time 15-second increments, 30-second, or a minute. The watch also has the date where the 3 o 'clock hour is. (Which says the 3rd of June right now of course). Also, the band is nylon velcro and it's very comfortable on my wrist as I wear this watch all day, every day. The velcro makes it easy to put the watch on, and take it off, and if you want to look at the bottom of the watch, you can remove the band to do so.

Concluding the review, i'm extremely satisfied with this Victorinox Swiss Army Watch and it deserves 5/5 stars for it's excellent quality, durability, and craftsmanship.

Help teach your child to tell time with the Timex T89022 Time Teacher watch, which features labeled and color-differentiated hour and minute hands and a color differentiated dial with "to" and "past" markings. This quartz analog watch features a small flower that rotates around the dial with the hands and a comfortable elastic fabric strap (for better dirt and stain resistance) with pink flowers against a purple base. This watch also offers water resistance to 30 meters (99 feet), durable purple resin case, and Timex's unique Kids Loss Protection Plan. It's recommended for children ages 6 and older.

The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer.

Timex understands that kids often lose things, even their most prized possessions, which is why this watch is covered by the Timex Kids Loss Protection Plan. If the watch is lost, Timex will replace it with the same style (or similar if your style is not available) at the price of $10 for up to one year from the original date of purchase, with no questions asked. Details are included in the printed instructions that come with the watch.

Timex Brand

The Timex Watch Company

Timex Group B.V. is one of the best-known American watch companies. Timex's U.S. headquarters are located in Middlebury Connecticut and it has substantial operations in China, the Philippines and India and full scale sales companies in Canada, the UK, France and Mexico.

The company began in 1854 as Waterbury Clock in Connecticut's Naugatuck Valley, known during the nineteenth century as the "Switzerland of America." Sister company Waterbury Watch manufactured the first inexpensive mechanical pocket watch in 1880. During World War I, Waterbury began making wristwatches, which had only just become popular, and in 1933 it made history by creating the first Mickey Mouse clock under license from Walt Disney, with Mickey's hands pointing the time.

During World War II, Waterbury renamed itself U.S. Time Company. In 1950 the company introduced a wristwatch called the Timex. Over the next three decades, Timex was sold through a series of advertisements which emphasized its durability by putting the watch through "torture tests," such as falling over the Grand Coulee Dam or being strapped to the propeller of an outboard motor, with the slogan "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking." With the help of former Olympic broadcaster, spokesman John Cameron Swayze, sales took off. The company later became Timex Corporation, then Timex Group and, to date, has sold over one billion watches.

The company has remained very competitive and the Timex brand continues its dominance through present day. Its primary market remains the United States and Canada, although the Timex brand is sold worldwide due to its ability to capitalize on its strong brand image and reputation for quality.

One of the most successful and important features available on many Timex watches is the Indiglo backlight system. Indiglo is a brand name of Indiglo Corporation, solely owned by Timex for licensing purposes. Timex electroluminescent lamps, branded Indiglo, were introduced in 1992 in the Ironman watch line. They were an immediate success. The Indiglo® lamp uniformly lights the surface of the Timex’s watch dials in a manner that makes the dial read very easily in many different light settings. In some newer watches the Indiglo backlight only lights up the numbers, rather than the entire LCD display, which is achieved by means of a specialized film that inverts the LCD transmissivity.

Today, Timex Group products are manufactured in the Far East and in Switzerland often based on technology that continues to be developed in the United States and in Germany. With a large and varied line of watches, Timex has the style for everyone. From the locker room to the board room, there is a great Timex style time-piece for you.
